Dr Jack Duthie

BDS University of Liverpool 2013

Principal Dentist

GDC Number: 245173

Jack was fascinated by science and its practical application while at school. He also wanted to pursue a career in healthcare and dentistry seemed the obvious choice.

Once qualified Jack went to work in North Wales. He chose a practice with a special interest in oral surgery and advanced restorative dentistry. He was very successful there and they were sad that he could not stay but he was eager to get back to Liverpool and develop his skills further by working at the family practice.

His father, John Duthie, was one of the first dentists in the UK to become qualified in using Cerec, (using Cad/Cam to design and make veneers, crowns, bridges and inlays). John became an international trainer and has continued to develop these skills in conjunction with implant restorations. Jack has benefitted from the practice expertise in this area and has become an experienced practitioner in Cerec. His aim is to develop a practice capable of delivering advanced restorative dentistry and he is well on the way to achieving his ambition. He has completed the advanced training course in London and is getting excellent aesthetic results. He is also working along side our implant surgeon to restore major implant cases using the CAD/CAM technology which is a new and exciting specialised area within the profession.

Jack is married to Lisa, who is also a longstanding dentist at the practice. They live locally and have just had their second child.
